TaPRA is keen to support and encourage current and new members to attend our events. In that regards, we have two bursary schemes that cover the costs of registration. See details below.
These bursaries are to support PGs currently registered at a UK HEI.
What is it?
THE ECR Bursary Scheme is a new initiative created and funded by TaPRA. It is a conference fee waiver designed to support the participation of unaffiliated ECR researchers and artists to the annual TaPRA conference.
How Many are there?
A limited number of ECR bursaries will be awarded by the Exec every year. TaPRA hopes to be able to support at least 4 ECR bursaries per year but will announce the exact number available in Spring/Summer, following the relevant executive meeting.
Who is it for?
Recipients of the TaPRA ECR Bursary will be early career researchers (within 8 years of being awarded a PhD) currently not affiliated with a HE institution or eligible for research support as temporary or visiting lecturer.
Only one candidate per Working Group will be put forward by the conveners each year and conveners will need to submit a strategic case to the Exec.
Applicants will need to note their wish/desire to be considered for the ECR bursary when submitting a proposal. Their abstract needs to have been approved by the WG in order for a strategic case to be put forward.
