The Executive Committee is elected by members and each officer is usually elected for a term of three years. Apart from the major annual meeting at conference, the executive meets 3 or 4 times during the year to implement decisions of the AGM, consider suggestions from working groups, manage the nominations and judging for annual prizes, foster new initiatives such as the TaPRA Fellowship, and plan the next conference. We also consider responses on behalf of the membership to government consultations relating to research evaluation and funding. There are currently 8 offices, some of which are shared between two officers. Role descriptors can be found at the foot of the Constitution page, here.
