These documents have been accompanied by a consultation on the panel criteria and working methods, and – as has been our previous practice – it has been agreed that TaPRA and SCUDD will work together to draft a single response, in order to ensure maximum strength for our disciplinary voice. The link to the consultation document and questions is below. SCUDD will be consulting via institutional reps while TaPRA, which represents individual members, will be asking for individual responses. For those attending the TaPRA Conference in Aberystwyth from 5-7 September, REF panellists will be leading a session on the final day, Friday 7 September at 1 pm, led by Kate Dorney, to gather responses from our membership, and we will also be gathering feedback from delegates during the rest of the conference as well as inviting individual email responses from members who are unable to attend.

Responses to the consultation are required by noon on 15 October 2018 so in order to co-ordinate our response, and come back to the discipline with any queries, responses to either Gareth White – gareth.white@cssd.ac.uk – (SCUDD insitutions) or Jo Robinson – jo.robinson@nottingham.ac.uk – (from individual TaPRA members (either 2017-18 or 2018-19 given the dates that the consultation spans)) should reach us by 21 September 2018.
